Seismic Partner Completes Offshore Wind Survey Project with Industry Collaboration

We are excited to share the success of our recent node project off the west coast of Norway, where we partnered with the industry on a groundbreaking test initiative for offshore wind. This project reinforces our commitment to advancing the renewable energy sector.

In July, we deployed an ultra-dense grid of Seisnodes as part of a site survey to map the geology of the first hundred meters beneath the seabed. The survey aimed to explore how nodes can enhance imaging, improve mapping, and detect boulders in the shallow subsurface, which is crucial for offshore wind installations.

The node operation utilized a mini remotely operated vehicle (ROV) supported by a right-sized vessel, aligning with our strategy to achieve cost-effective and sustainable operations through innovation and optimal resource use.

The project has attracted considerable industry attention, and the collected data is now being processed. We look forward to the results and to further understand how node technology can play a pivotal role in offshore wind farm development, setting the stage for future innovations in renewable energy applications.
