The coming together of SPG and Seisnode result in a strong market position:
- Two business lines – SPG will now scale both as a provider of OBN projects and as an independent OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of OBN nodes.

- Next-generation technology – An upgraded Seisnode is currently under testing and will be commercialized later this year. The new version builds on field-proven experience, delivers significant performance improvements, and is designed for modular, industrial-scale production.

- Market and competitive advantage – OBN seismic is the fastest-growing market segment. Industry cycles tend to pressure competitors with large, capital-intensive fleets that cover both streamer and OBN operations. SPG will expand asset-light, operating with flexible partnerships and highly cost-efficient node technology. This provides resilience and the ability to compete effectively on both price and quality.

Our near-term priorities:
- Integrate Seisnode manufacture and operations into SPG’s structure.

- Establish an operations center in Norway for both OBN operations and the OEM business line.

- Build operational capacity to deliver large OBN projects, including asset-light partnerships for ROV, NOAR (node-on-a-rope) and Source-vessel operations.

- Establish and expand the OEM business for global node sales and rentals.

Expand marketing, sales, and qualification of Seisnode with global oil & gas companies.
“Through this merger we combine Seisnode’s technology and innovation with SPG’s operational capacity and market position. Together, we have a robust platform for growth and the ability to realize Seisnode’s full potential as a leading global technology.”
– Jeroen Hoogeveen, Founder of Seisnode BV and Board Member of SPG
With the Seisnode acquisition, SPG now has full technology ownership, an industrial platform for scaling, and a clear path to global growth. We are positioned to step up as a competitive player in the ocean-bottom seismic market.
